A new market is opening in Waterford Retail Park this June Bank Holiday Weekend which will offer customers the chance to support local food, craft, and wellbeing businesses.
This artisan offering is sure to tantalise your taste buds! Meet a friend for a light bite on a long weekend or pop down with your workmates Friday lunchtime to fill up on your favourite food truck finds, it’s the ideal place to pick up some local produce, browse the craft stalls, chat with the makers and creators, or to treat yourself to a mindful Indian head massage.
The Greenway Market is opening on Friday 2nd June, it’s family-friendly and pet friendly. It is easy to access by car, bicycle, or bus. There are bicycle stands already located outside the market entrance and ample FREE car parking spaces are available in the retail park. It’s only a short trip from the Waterford Greenway (nearest route-stop SETU West Campus Car Park).
The market will be open for trading on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Bank Holidays from 9 am to 3 pm. Plus, it’s free admission for all! The market is situated in a permanent and partially canopied unit in the retail park next to the Home Store + More unit. The space which is currently being outfitted has room for a generous number of food & craft stalls plus food truck traders.
Here’s what the owner of The Greenway Market Keith Daniels has to say. “The Greenway Market believe it or not has been a project that has been in the making for over 3 years, I want to create a contemporary style Farmers Market to showcase local talents such as Artisan Food Producers and talented Craft Makers, as well as other unique offerings which are so important these days like- wellbeing”. “My goal is to create a vibrant market which reintroduces the customer to the baker, the beekeeper, and the craft maker etc. A place where fresh, locally sourced food is available”.
